Fault symptoms

The following conditions apply for this DTC:

P1636
The power supply to pedal position sensor 2, the atmospheric pressure sensor or mass air flow sensor is shorted to ground. The output voltage is less than 4.8 V.

P1637
The power supply to pedal position sensor 2 is shorted to battery voltage. The output voltage exceeds 5.2 V.

Diagnostic help
The engine speed is set to a fixed 1400 rpm. The engine will not react to accelerator depression so long as the fault persists. The substitute value for air mass is 1500 mg/combustion, and for atmospheric pressure 0.7 bar.
