Speed, lead from ABS
| Speed, lead from ABS |
The ABS control module sends a speed signal to the PSG 16 control module on pin K34. This signal is a square wave that varies between 0 V and B+ 29 times per wheel rotation. The speed signal is used to:
| • |
determine which gear is currently in use. This makes it possible for the engine to receive the correct fuel quantity at different gear positions when the accelerator is released.
| • |
give impulse to the cruise control.
| • |
activate speed limitation by choking fuel quantity/combustion at 225 km/h
| Diagnostics |
| • |
If the speed signal exceeds 220 km/h, is constantly high/low or is incorrect, DTC P0500 is generated.
System reaction to a fault
| • |
Cruise control is switched off.
| • |
ACC is switched off.
