Fault symptoms
On-Board Diagnostics
Type of diagnosis:
-
Once per driving cycle. Interrupted when fault criteria fulfilled or OK reported. Restarts next driving cycle.
Enable criteria:
-
General conditions for this trouble code: Atmospheric pressure must exceed 72 kPa and the engine coolant and intake air temperature must exceed -7°C.
-
Engine running for 3 min. Car driven at engine speed 1300-2200 rpm with load corresponding to 250-500 mg/c (air mass/combustion). Closed loop active and stable. Air mass/combustion stable. Purging active. Coolant temperature above 70°C. When all the criteria have been fulfilled, the number of ignitions during 2 sensor transitions is counted.
Fault criteria:
-
Number of combustions exceeds 95.
Dependents:
-
P0115, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0119, P0131, P0132 and P0134.
System reaction to a fault:
OK report:
-
Diagnosis performed once and fault criteria not fulfilled.
Fault handling:
(See section
Fault handling III, other emission-related components and functions
for more information.)
Diagnostic help
Fault diagnosis concerns an internal fault in the sensor.
Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:
•
Diagnostic status for the diagnosis.
•
Oxygen Sensor Value, unit V.
See also the description of readings under
Menu "Read Values"
for more information.
Note
Oxygen sensor receives reference oxygen from the surrounding air via the connecting cables. For this reason, electrical contact spray or grease
must not
be used on the oxygen sensor connector.
