To remove |
1. |
Remove the headlamps. See

Raise the car.
|
3. |
Remove the front spoiler shield and the lower engine cover.
|
4. |
Lower the car slightly.
|
5. |
Hang up the condenser, power steering cooling coil and the radiator with strap, part no. 83 95 212.
|
6. |
Raise the car.
|
7. |
Remove the nuts securing the power steering cooling coil.
|
8. |
Remove the mounting securing the lower charge air pipe to the subframe.
|
9. |
Remove the cooler brackets from the subframe.
|
10. |
Remove the charge air hose clips from the charge air cooler and bend the hoses to one side.
|
11. |
Lower the car slightly.
|
12. |
Undo the condenser from the charge air cooler and remove the charge air cooler from below.

To fit |
1. |
Fit the charge air cooler to its mountings on the condenser.
|
2. |
Position the charge air cooler on its upper mountings.
|
3. |
Raise the car slightly.
|
4. |
Connect the hoses to the charge air cooler.
|
5. |
Position and fit the lower mountings to the subframe.
|
6. |
Make sure the charge air cooler and the radiator are correctly fitted in their brackets.

7. |
Fit the mounting securing the lower charge air pipe to the subframe and tighten the nuts on the lower mountings.
|
8. |
Fit the nuts securing the power steering cooling coil.
|
9. |
Fit the front spoiler shield and the lower engine cover.
|
10. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
11. |
Remove the straps, part no. 83 95 212.
|
12. |
Fit the headlamps. See
