Fault symptoms

Noise from rear brakes without brake unit.

Conditions

After the car has been parked and when driving at a low speed (0-10 km/h), a low frequency (50-1000 Hz) noise arises from the rear brakes.

16" brakes.

Procedure


1. Remove the brake pads in accordance with WIS - Brakes - Brake discs and brake pads - Adjustment/Replacement.

2. Bevel the brake pads approx. 20-25 mm from the ends. See figure.


3. Adjust/bend the clamp. See figure.


4. Fit the brake pads in accordance with WIS - Brakes - Brake discs and brake pads - Adjustment/Replacement.
