Auto |
All the functions are controlled automatically and selected temperature and AUTO are displayed. When pressed again, the full display is shown and this setting is stored in memory to be used on consequent trips until it is removed.
ECON, electrically heated rear window and temperature up or down can be selected without leaving AUTO.
Temperature up or down |
Interior temperature setting for the driver and passenger zone in steps of 1°C between 15°C and 27°C, alternatively 2°F between 58°F and 82°F. Selected temperature is shown on the display.
When the ignition is turned on, the following values are used:
Driver's side
When the ignition is switched on, the last set value is always used.Passenger side
When ignition is switched on, the last set value is always used.Recommended setting is 21+/-3°C, alternatively 70+/-6 °F. The units adhere to those which were selected on the SID.
If a higher value than 27°C, alternatively 82°F is selected, HI is shown (passenger cannot select HI if the driver has not) and the system is set according to the following:
• |
fan current 18 A
|
• |
air distribution in defrost/floor position
|
• |
air-mixing in full heat position for side in question, 100% is shown on the diagnostics tool
|
• |
air recirculation off
|
• |

|
If a lower value than 15°C, alternatively 58°F is selected, LO is shown (passenger cannot select LO if the driver has not) and the system is set according to the following:
• |
fan current MAX
|
• |
A/C on (ECON off)
|
• |
air distribution in panel position
|
• |
air-mixing in full cold position for side in question, 0% is displayed on the diagnostics tool.
|
• |
air recirculation on
|
• |

Adjustment
The ACC unit can be adjusted with the diagnostics tool to:• |
raise or lower the temperature in the LH or RH zone compared to that set on the display.
|
• |
regulate the climate system as a single zone system, the temperature buttons then change both temperatures on the display simultaneously
|
• |
regulate the climate system as a 1-zone system only when the front seat is not occupied
|
• |
temporarily increase fan speed more than normal if the driver changes the selected temperature
|
Note | ||
The cabin temperature is always adjusted so that the perceived temperature corresponds with the one set. This means that a thermometer normally will show another value than the one set. |
Defrost |
The system is set as follows:
• |
fan current 18 A
|
• |
A/C on (ECON off)
|
• |
air distribution in defrost position, 100% is shown on the diagnostics tool
|
• |
normal temperature regulation
|
• |
air recirculation off
|
• |
heated rear window on
|
• |

Electrically heated rear window |
This button switches on and off the heated rear window. Rear window heating cannot be switched on manually until the engine has been started.
The length of time the heating is on is determined by the outside temperature. At +5°C it is 5 minutes and at lower temperatures the time is increased to max 10 minutes when the outside temperature is lower than -10°C.
If automatic rear window heating is selected with extended user-programming, the maximum time is 5 instead of 10 minutes.
The function can be user-programmed as soon as a manual selection has been made.
When rear window heating is switched on, the system is set as follows:
