Solenoid valve, heat exchanger shut-off valve
Solenoid valve, heat exchanger shut-off valve |
The climate system is equipped with a vacuum controlled shut-off valve for the heat exchanger. This is used when it is necessary to prevent coolant circulating in the heat exchanger so that maximum cooling efficiency can be achieved. The control module controls a solenoid valve which in turn manoeuvres the shut-off valve.
The solenoid valve is supplied from +54 circuit via fuse 31 and is controlled on the ground side from pin 24 on the ACC unit.
When the control module grounds the output, the solenoid valve opens and creates a vacuum on the shut-off valve, which in turn stops the flow of coolant.
The control module closes the shut-off valve if the requested mixed-air temperature falls below 6°C for both zones (both zones must be cooled considerably).
Diagnostics |
In the event of an open circuit or short circuit, diagnostic trouble code B2375 is set and 18 is displayed instead of right-hand temperature when calibrating.
