Power stage, injectors

Power stage, injectors

The power stage is located next to the control module inside the car behind the glove box and is the final stage for the injectors. The power stage governs the opening and closing of the injectors. The control module sends a low-level signal (5V) to the power stage, which in turn charges a capacitor for each injector in order to ensure sufficient current to open the injectors. The power stage receives information form the control module when injection is to take place.

Diagnostics

If the power stage or corresponding wiring harness is out of order, it can be indicated by the following DTCs being generated:

P0200 Electrical fault 1, EDU (powerstage fuel injectors).

P0216 EDU (powerstage fuel injectors), Malfunction.

P0261 Injector Circuit Cylinder 1. Short to Ground/Open.

P0262 Injector Circuit Cylinder 1. Short to B+/Open.

P0264 Injector Circuit Cylinder 2. Short to Ground/Open.

P0265 Injector Circuit Cylinder 2. Short to B+/Open.

P0267 Injector Circuit Cylinder 3. Short to Ground/Open.

P0268 Injector Circuit Cylinder 3. Short to B+/Open.

P0270 Injector Circuit Cylinder 4. Short to Ground/Open.

P0271 Injector Circuit Cylinder 4. Short to B+/Open.

P0273 Injector Circuit Cylinder 5. Short to Ground/Open.

P0274 Injector Circuit Cylinder 5. Short to B+/Open.

P0276 Injector Circuit Cylinder 6. Short to Ground/Open.

P0277 Injector Circuit Cylinder 6. Short to B+/Open.

P1200 Electrical fault 2, EDU (powerstage fuel injectors).
