Front exhaust pipe, V6

To remove


1. Raise the car.

2. Remove the lower engine cover.


3. Remove the front pipe bolts from the gearbox mounting.


4. Attach a cable tie, 83 95 212 Cable tie , around the mounting on the gearbox and the exhaust pipe. Tighten.

5. Remove the front pipe from the catalytic converter. The bellows must not be bent more than 7° from the central line.

6. Remove the front exhaust pipe from the silencer.

7. Remove the front exhaust pipe.


To fit


1. Fit the front exhaust pipe by hanging it and fixing it in place with a cable tie in the gearbox mounting. The bellows must not be bent more than 7° from the central line.


2. Fit the front exhaust pipe to the silencer.

Tightening torque: 22 Nm (16 lbf ft)

3. Fit the front exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter.

Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)

4. Fit the bolts in the gearbox mounting.

Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 lbf ft)

5. Loosen and remove the cable tie.

6. Fit the lower engine cover.


7. Lower the car to the floor.
