Fuel filter, 4-cyl


The fuel filter is located by the fuel tank. Its task is to separate impurities from the fuel so that the fuel system is not damaged.

It comprises a paper insert and a strainer, which traps any loose paper fragments. A support plate secures the filter to the housing.

Water is also collected in the filter container and can be drained by opening the plug in the bottom of the container.

Heater function

A bimetallic spring starts the heating operation when the temperature of the outgoing fuel drops below 0°C (32°F) and it stops the heating operation when the temperature exceeds 20°C (68°F).
