| To remove | 
| 1. | Ignition key in LOCK position. | |
| 2. | Unplug the mass air flow sensor connector.   | |
| 3. | Loosen the hose clips on the connecting hoses. | |
| 4. | Remove the mass air flow sensor. | |
| 5. | Raise the car. | |
| 6. | Remove the air intake pipe from the air cleaner.   | |
| 7. | Remove the nuts for the rubber mountings from the subframe. | |
| 8. | Undo the screw securing the bumper to the wing liner. | |
| 9. | Remove the air cleaner. If it is being changed, transfer the hose to the new air cleaner and fit a new filter element.   | |
| To fit | 
| 1. | Coat the air filter guide pin with
        
         Vaseline, non-acidic
        
        or the equivalent. Fit the air filter housing. Make sure the air filter housing guide pin is correctly positioned in the rubber bushing.   | |
| 2. | Fit the screw securing the bumper to the wing liner.   | |
| 3. | Fit the nuts for the rubber mountings to the subframe. | |
| 4. | Fit the air intake pipe to the air cleaner. | |
| 5. | Lower the car to the floor. | |
| 6. | Fit the mass air flow sensor and tighten the hose clips on the connecting hoses. Tightening torque, mass air flow sensor: 3.5 Nm (2.5 lbf ft)   | |
| 7. | Plug in the mass air flow sensor connector. | |
