A/C compressor control
A/C compressor control |
A/C compressor activation is controlled by functions in both DICE and PSG 16. The following description covers that which applies to functions in PSG 16.
The A/C compressor control function comprises two sub-functions
- |
logic function
|
- |
control function
|
Logic function
The logic function is used to determine when the A/C compressor is to be switched off. This makes it possible to deactivate the A/C compressor during certain driving conditions when maximum engine torque is required. The A/C compressor is switched off in the following driving conditions
- |
Coolant temperature is higher than 123°C (253°F)
|
- |
Accelerator sensor value is greater than 95%, engine speed < 2500 rpm, and driving in first gear
|
- |
Engine speed is < 600 rpm
|
Control function
The control function governs activation and deactivation of the A/C relay based on the command of the logic function. When amplifier control has an amplified signal, pin K30 is grounded and the A/C relay supplies power to the A/C compressor's electromagnetic clutch.
