Unplug the connector.
|
2.
|
Remove the oxygen sensor connector from the holder.
|
3.
|
Cut the oxygen sensor cable fastening.
|
5.
|
Check the run of the cable and then lead the cable down.
|
6.
|
Remove the cable from its floor fixing.
Important
|
The cables must not be twisted. Twisted cables exposed to vibration can break.
|
The oxygen sensor is sensitive to impacts and jolting and must be handled with care.
|
|
|
7.
|
Remove the oxygen sensor.
|
1.
|
Apply Molykote 1000 (part no. 30 20 971) or the like on the threads of the oxygen sensor and fit it.
|
2.
|
Fix the cable on the floor.
|
3.
|
Carefully thread the cable back to the oxygen sensor connector.
Important
|
The cables must not be twisted. Twisted cables exposed to vibration can break.

5.
|
Fasten the oxygen sensor cable.
Important
|
Chemicals such as contact spray and grease must not come into contact with the oxygen sensor connectors.

|
|
6.
|
Plug in the connector from the holder to the oxygen sensor.
|
7.
|
Plug in the connector.
|
