| Info Disp Lamp | ON/OFF | SID | For text message. MIU lights the indicator lamp Info Display. |
| Rheostat level | 0-100 % | SID | Rheostat control module input. Rheostat level. |
| Rheostat Night Panel | 0-100 % | SID | Rheostat control module input reduced internally by a fixed value |
| Night Panel | ON/OFF | SID | Button. MIU extinguishes the instrument and display lighting. |
| Display lighting | 0-100 % | SID | The rheostat control module input or light sensor, highest value. MIU uses the information to control the display lighting. |
| Cabin light intensity | Lux | SID | Light sensor. MIU uses the value to control the intensity of the indicator lamps. |
| Check engine lamp | ON/OFF | ECM | Internal diagnostics. MIU lights the CHECK ENGINE lamp. |
| Shift Up lamp | ON/OFF | ECM | Right front wheel speed (lead from ABS). MIU lights the Shift Up lamp. |
| CRUISE lamp | ON/OFF | ECM | Cruise control function. MIU lights the CRUISE lamp. |
| Fuel consumed since start | 0-65535 ml | ECM | Fuel injection function. Used by SID for trip computer function, can be adjusted with offset in MIU. |
| Engine speed | 0-7000 rpm | ECM | Crankshaft position censor. MIU controls the tachometer. |
| Coolant temperature | -40-215°C | ECM | Coolant temperature sensor. MIU controls the coolant temperature gauge. |
| Turbo boost gauge | 0-255, no units | ECM (petrol engine) | Current air mass per combustion. |
| Selector lever position | Cars with Sentronic:

         P, R, N, D, M, L Cars without Sentronic: P, R, N, D, 4, 3, L | TCM | Selector sensor. MIU lights the current indicator lamp. |
| Selected gear | 1 - 5 | TCM | The TCM sends out a "Selected gear" message which is used by the MIU for display of the current gear in position M. |
| CHECK GEARBOX Lamp | ON/OFF | TCM | Internal diagnostics. MIU lights the CHECK GEARBOX lamp. |
| SPORT Lamp | ON/OFF | TCM | Button, oil temperature sensor and no limp-home or WINTER. MIU lights the SPORT lamp. |
| WINTER Lamp | ON/OFF | TCM | Button, oil temperature sensor and no limp-home. MIU lights the WINTER lamp. |
| Wheel speed RL | 0-300 km/h | TC/ABS | Wheel speed sensor LR. |
| Wheel speed RR | 0-300 km/h | TC/ABS | Wheel speed sensor RR. |
| ABS lamp | ON/OFF | TC/ABS | Internal diagnostics. |
| TCS OFF lamp | ON/OFF | TC/ABS | Switch, internal diagnostics. |
| TCS lamp | ON/OFF | TC/ABS | Traction Control |
| ESP OFF lamp | ON/OFF | ESP | Switch, internal diagnostics. |
| ESP lamp | ON/OFF | ESP | ESP control |
| Airbag lamp | ON/OFF | SRS | Internal diagnostics. |
| Glow plug indicator lamp | ON/OFF | ECM (diesel) | Glow plug function. Glow plug indicator lamp comes on when the glow plugs are active. |
| Diagnostics communication | DICE/diagnostic tool | The control module must be powered and the bus leads intact. DICE/diagnostic tool. |
| The MIU sends the following information: |
| Information | Value/Units | Used by | The value depends on the following sensor input, signal or function |
| Vehicle speed | km/h (mph) | ECM, DICE, SID, ACC, Audio, TWICE, SPA | Left rear wheel speed (lead from ABS). The main instrument unit calculates the current vehicle speed from the wheel speed information, from the TC/ABS control module, and tyre programming. |
| Acoustic warning | Acoustical information | SID | Control module activation of central warning lamp or info display lamp |
| Fuel level | litres | SID, ECM | Fuel tank sensor, control module adjustment. MIU sends information on the current fuel level in the tank. |
| Odometer reading | km (miles) | SID | Display value. Information on the distance travelled. |
| Fuel consumed since start | 0-65535 ml | ECM | Bus from engine control module. The value is corrected by an adjustment factor in MIU. The factor can be adjusted by the diagnostic tool. |
| STOP FOR FUEL | ON/OFF | SID | When the fuel level is below 3 litres, this signal is sent. MIU sends the text message to SID and the message is shown on the SID display (diesel cars only). |
| Identification number | | TWICE | Value created in MIU when immobilisation code is programmed in TWICE |
| Diagnostics communication | DICE/diagnostic tool | The control module must be powered and the bus leads intact. DICE/diagnostic tool. |
