To remove |
Important | ||
Blow the hose and pipe connections clean with compressed air before removing. |

Cover the holes after removing. |

Cover the wings.

2. |
Remove the bolt securing the upper intake manifold to the right-hand engine mounting.
|
3. |
Remove the upper intake manifold from the turbocharger and crankcase ventilation.
Move aside the upper intake manifold. |
4. |
Remove the vacuum hoses. The hose from the brake servo has a quick-release coupling.

5. |
Remove the vacuum pump bolts.
|
6. |
Remove the vacuum pump.

To fit |
1. |
Turn the shaft to the correct position in relation to the groove on the camshaft and fit the pump to the engine.

2. |
Fit the bolts.
Tightening torque 17 Nm (13 lbf ft) |
3. |
Fit the vacuum hoses.

4. |
Fit the upper intake manifold.
|
5. |
Fit the bolt securing the upper intake manifold to the right-hand engine mounting.
|
6. |
Wipe away any oil.
|
7. |
Remove the wing covers.
|
8. |
Depress the brake pedal a number of times to remove the underpressure in the brake servo.
Depress the brake pedal and start the engine. Check that the brake pedal sinks slightly. |
