Changing the rear bumper shell/cellular block, 5D |

Remove the bumper. See
Removing the bumper.
Lay it on a well protected workbench.

Remove the upper portion of the protective shell by loosening the bolts. Detach the clips on the bottom edge of the protective shell and remove it by pulling straight back.

3. |
Remove the two large cellular blocks from the sides of the protective shell.
|
4. |
Detach the bumper rail from the 14 clips securing it to the protective shell, removing the small cellular blocks at the same time.

5. |
Loosen the cellular block from the protective shell (wedged into the protective shell's retaining wedges).

To fit |
1. |
Press the cellular block into the protective shell's retaining wedges.
|
2. |
Fit the bumper rail together with the small cellular blocks.
|
3. |
Fit the two large cellular blocks on the sides of the protective shell.
|
4. |
Fit the upper portion of the protective shell by guiding the flaps in towards the bolts in the front edge. Press in the clips on the lower edge of the protective shell. Press down on the shell while fitting the bolts.

Fit the bumper on the car. See
