Undo the screws in the wheel housing, 2 on each side.

Open the boot lid.

3. |
Remove the luggage compartment sill.
|

Fold away the luggage compartment carpet and remove the seals. The old seals must be discarded and replaced by new ones:

Remove the nuts holding the bumper.
|
6. |
Remove the protective mouldings using
82 93 474 Removal tool
.

7. |
Remove the bolts from the inside and hold the nuts through the 2 holes behind the protective moulding.
Come cars have press nuts and in such cases it is sufficient to just remove the bolts. |

Detach the towbar connectors and the bolts holding the towbar to the body.

9. |
Together with an assistant, pull out the bumper from the clips and lift the bumper out backwards.
|

For cars equipped with Saab Parking Assistance (SPA):
Remove the connector.

For cars equipped with Saab Parking Assistance (SPA):
Attach the connector.
|
2. |
Place the towbar connector in the bumper cavity.
|
3. |
Place the bumper in position and press it over the edge of the wheel housing. Make sure that the clips sit correctly.

4. |
Fit the bumper's nuts and bolts.
|
5. |
Fit the screws in the edge of the wheel housing.
|
6. |
Fit the bolts and nut plates that secure the towbar to the body.
Attach the towbar connector. |
7. |
Fit new seals and fold down the luggage compartment carpet.

8. |
Fit the scuff plate.
|
9. |
Fit the luggage compartment carpet.
|
10. |
Fit the protective mouldings.
|
11. |
Close the boot lid and check the bumper fit.
