Light setting equipment can either be floor mounted in hanging suspended from the ceiling. The suspended version is particularly suitable if the equipment will service several work bays.
Technical performance |
• |
Equipment for car headlamp setting must be easy to use and set.
|
• |
In addition to headlamps, it must be possible to check over-mounted and under-mounted auxiliary lamps.
|
• |
There may be no play in the mounting that could affect setting.
|
• |
The visual component must always be balanced and must be regularly checked with a level.
|
• |
The greatest permissible unevenness at the measurement point is max. 1.2 mm (between the contact points on the car's wheel).
|
The scale on the instrument is adjustable to allow for variations between front and rear wheels. The work bay should therefore always be measured using a suitable instrument to determine floor unevenness where the front and rear wheels are located.
The greatest permissible deviation from the centre line is ±5 mm measured from the front to the rear wheels. It is a good idea to mark the car's position at the work bay.
Documentation on installation and handling must be included in the delivery unit.
