Camshaft cover

| To remove | 
| 1. | Remove the upper engine cover.   | |
| 2. | Remove the turbocharger delivery pipe from the camshaft cover and the turbocharger, and detach the crankcase ventilation hose from the camshaft cover. Plug the turbocharger inlet. | |
| 3. | Move the fuel lines away form the camshaft cover. | |
| 4. | Undo the rear cable harness mounting on the camshaft cover and unplug the pressure/temperature sensor connector.   | |
| 5. | Remove the camshaft cover. | |
| To fit | 
| 1. | Clean the camshaft cover sealing surfaces from any gasket remnants. Position a new gasket on the camshaft cover. Apply
        
         87 81 841 Silicon flange sealant
        
        to the sealing surface, see illustration.   | |
| 2. | Position the camshaft cover on the cylinder head and tighten the bolts. Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft). | |
| 3. | Fit the rear cable harness mounting on the camshaft cover and plug in the pressure/temperature sensor connector. | |
| 4. | Move the fuel lines back to the camshaft cover. | |
| 5. | Remove the plug and fit the turbocharger delivery pipe to the turbocharger and camshaft cover.   | |
| 6. | Connect the crankshaft ventilation hose to the camshaft cover. | |
| 7. | Fit the upper engine cover. | |
