Oil filter

To remove


1. Remove the upper engine cover.

2. Unplug the EGR valve connector.

3. Remove the oil filter housing cover and take out the oil filter. Collect any spilled oil with a rag or similar.

Note

A 36mm socket is required.




To fit


1. Change O-rings.


2. Fit a new oil filter and tighten the oil filter housing cover.

Tightening torque: 26 Nm (19 lbf ft).

3. Plug in the EGR valve connector.

4. Fill with engine oil as specified, see Lubricants .

5. Start the engine and allow it to run until the oil pressure warning lamp has gone out.

6. Stop the engine and check the oil level after 2 - 5 minutes. Top up as necessary.
