Symptom: CHECK ENGINE.
P0072: Temperature sensor in mass air flow sensor, short to ground
P0073: Temperature sensor in mass air flow sensor, open circuit/short to B+

Battery voltage should be 10.2-15.8 V

Coolant temperature must exceed -10°C (valid for P0073)

The following DTCs should not be detected,
P0072
: P0562, P0563
P0073:
P0562, P0563, P0116, P0117 and P0118.

Fault criteria:
-
|
P0072: Voltage on the input falls below 0.12 V for more than 0.3s.
|
-
|
P0073: Voltage on the input exceeds 4.97 V for more than 0.3s.
|
Dependents:
System reaction to a fault:

The control module continues to work with a substitute value of 25°C
|
OK report:

Checking the wiring
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, withdrawn pins and pin clamping force.
