Symptom: CHECK ENGINE. Loss of performance.

P0107

Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Circuit. Open / Short to Ground.

Fault symptoms

CHECK ENGINE.

Loss of performance.

On-Board Diagnostics

Type of diagnosis:

- Continuous.

Enable criteria:

- Ignition ON.

- Battery voltage should be 10.2-15.8 V.

- P1636 or P1637 should not be detected.

Fault criteria:

- Voltage on input falls below 0.289 V for more than 2.1 s.

Dependents:

- None.

System reaction to a fault:

- The control module will continue to use a substitute value that is the same as the atmospheric pressure. The following limitations apply: Pedal position sensor adjustable to max 60 %, EGR and boost pressure control switched off.

OK report:

- Voltage on input exceeds 0.289 V for more than 2.1 s.

Fault handling: (See section Fault handling III, other emissions-related components and functions for more information)

- Type III.

Diagnostic help

Fault diagnosis concerns an electrical fault in connecting leads or in the sensor.

Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:

- Read value: Charge Air Absolute Pressure, Charge Air Pressure Sensor

See also description of read value under "Read Values" menu for more information.

Checking the wiring

Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short circuits. Observe the multimeter, diagnostic tool or test lamp during the check.
