The following components are grounded to grounding point G7:

•	Control module, engine management system (655)

•	Oil level sensor (243)

•	Protective ground for engine speed sensor (408) and camshaft position sensor (555)

The following components are grounded to grounding point G41P:

•	Power stage, injectors (656)

Ground connection via control module sensor ground:

•	Engine coolant temperature sensor, engine management system (202)

•	Intake air temperature sensor (407)

•	Charge air pressure sensor (603)

•	Pedal sensor (379)

•	Tachometer sensor, engine speed (408)

•	Mass air flow sensor (205)

•	Control valve, charge air (179a)

•	Injectors (206)

•	Fuel temperature sensor (651)

•	Position sensor guide rails, turbocharger (654)

•	EGR solenoid valve (606)

•	Fuel pressure sensor, fuel rail (653)

Diagnostics

If the power ground is missing, the engine will not start and the system cannot be contacted using the diagnostic instrument.
