Diagnostic help

If the engine is difficult to start, check that there are no air leaks between the fuel tank and diesel pump.

Check also that there are no air leaks in the fuel return hoses between the fuel bridges and the suction side of the diesel engine:

1. Connect 30 14 883 Pressure/vacuum pump to the fuel return hose on the diesel pump.

2. Create a negative pressure and close the valve. If the vacuum drops significantly within 60 seconds, there is a leak.

3. Check which part of the hose system that is causing the leak by pinching the hoses in turn and repeating the test. When the vacuum does not drop, the faulty hose has been detected.
