Power ground

The following components are grounded to grounding point G7P:

•	Control module and diesel pump, PSG 16 (595)

•	EGR valve (606)

•	Oil level sensor (243)

•	Control module, glow plugs (596)

•	Engine shut-off solenoid valve (683)

Sensor ground

Ground connection via control module sensor ground:

•	Temperature sensor, coolant, engine management system (202)

•	Temperature sensor, engine oil (559)

•	Pressure and temperature sensor, intake air (407/603)

•	Pedal sensor (379)

•	Crankshaft position sensor (408)

•	Pressure sensor, atmospheric pressure (539)

•	Mass air flow sensor (205)

•	Solenoid valve, charge air (179a)

•	Solenoid valve, swirl throttle (403)

Diagnosis

If there is a break in the power ground circuit, the engine will not start and it will not be possible to contact the system using the diagnostic tool. DTC P0380 will be generated.
