Symptom: Navigation assistance does not work.

Fault symptom

Navigation assistance does not work.

Preconditions

Vehicle driven over 20 km/h.

GPS reception > 2 on reception scale.

Conditions

Switch Nav/Tele must be connected. There must be a power supply and grounding. Check both connectors for faulty pins and oxidation.

Diagnostic help

Check the speed indicator in the navigation unit while driving.

Reset the system before starting fault diagnosis and recalibrate.

Check switches for oxidation and faulty pins. Check several points and directions of the wiring harness to detect any intermittent open or short-circuits.
