Note
|
If the car is equipped with a radio other than a genuine Saab radio, check that the customer has the radio code before commencing work.
|
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
|
1.

Remove the door trim, see
|
2.
|
Remove the cover located at the bottom front edge of the door.
|
3.
|
Mark all the connectors accurately
before unplugging them from their respective components.
|
4.
|
Pull the wiring harness through the hole at the front of the door.
|
5.
|
Loosen the rubber grommet at the bottom of the B-pillar and pull out the connector.
|
7.
|
Lay out the new wiring harness the same as the old one and secure it in the same way. Make sure all grommets are sealing tight. Make sure the grommet is fitted correctly in the door.

Plug in the connectors to their respective components. If in doubt refer to wiring diagrams/component lists for the respective system.

Refit the door trim, see
|
10.
|
Connect the negative battery cable. Set the clock and program the radio code where applicable.
|
Important
|
Secure the wiring harness to prevent the risk of chafing and rattling.
|
Check all rubber seals to minimize the risk of leakage.
|

Note
|
Spray all the connectors with “Kontakt 61” to prevent copper rust from forming. Clean all the grounding points and apply them with Vaseline.
