Changing the rear bumper shell/cellular block, 4D

To remove


1. Remove the bumper. See Rear bumper, 4D Lay it on a well protected workbench.

2. Loosen the upper cellular block from the protective shell. Lift it out from the bumper rail (it is wedged into the bumper rail).


3. Remove the two cellular blocks that sit on each side of the protective shell. Loosen the bumper rail from the clips securing it to the protective shell.

4. Loosen the cellular block from the protective shell (wedged into the protective shell's retaining wedges).



To fit



1. Press the cellular block into the protective shell's retaining wedges.

2. Fit the bumper rail.


Note

The rail should be guided in place with a locating stud in the protective shell.


3. Fit the upper cellular block.

4. Fit the two cellular blocks on the sides of the protective shell.

5. Fit the bumper on the car. See Rear bumper, 4D.
