Rear bumper, 5D

To remove



1. Remove the screws in the wheel housing, 2 on each side.

2. Open the tailgate

3. Remove the storage compartments and their covers on both sides.


4. Remove the insulation pads. The old ones must be discarded and replaced by new ones.

5. Remove the nuts holding the bumper. The lower bolts only have nuts if the car is equipped with a towbar.


6. Together with an assistant, pull out the bumper clips from the edges of the wheel housings and the rear wings. Lift the bumper out backwards.


Note

For cars equipped with Saab Parking Assistance (SPA):

• Unplug the connectors.


Important

Be careful to avoid damaging the paintwork.



To fit

Note

For cars equipped with Saab Parking Assistance (SPA):

• Attach the connectors.



1. Place the bumper in position and press it over the edge of the wheel housing and the rear wing. Make sure that the clips sit correctly.


2. Put the nuts in place that hold the bumper.


3. Position the bumper correctly and tighten the screws in the edge of the wheel housing.


4. Tighten the nuts holding the bumper.

5. Fit the new insulation pads.


6. Fit the storage compartments and their covers on both sides.

7. Close the tailgate and check the fit of the bumper against the tailgate.
