To remove |
1. |
Place the car on a lift.
|
2. |
Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system. See
Draining and filling of refrigerant
.

3. |
Remove the intake manifold from the mass air flow sensor and turbocharger.
|
4. |
Remove the engine cover.
|
5. |
Disconnect the PAD connection for the high and low pressure pipes from the compressor. Plug the openings.
|
6. |
Raise the car.
|
7. |
Remove the lower engine cover.
|
8. |
Remove the front cover below the radiator unit.
|
9. |
Remove the A/C compressor's high pressure pipe from the receiver.
|
10. |
Plug the openings.
|
11. |
Unhook the high pressure pipe from the clip on the subframe.
|
12. |
Remove the high pressure pipe.

To fit |
1. |
Adjust the oil level in the compressor. See
Filling and adjustment of compressor oil
.

2. |
Guide the high pressure pipe into place.
|
3. |
Replace the O-ring and fit the high pressure pipe on the receiver.
Tightening torque: 9 Nm (7 lbf ft) |
4. |
Fit the A/C compressor's high pressure pipe in the clips on the subframe.

5. |
Put the high pressure pipe's PAD connection in place on the A/C compressor.
|
6. |
Fit the front cover below the radiator core.
|
7. |
Fit the lower engine cover.
|
8. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
9. |
Fit the PAD connection for the high and low pressure pipes on the compressor.
Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 lbf ft) |
10. |
Evacuate the A/C system and fill with R134a refrigerant. See
Draining and filling of refrigerant
.

11. |
Fit the engine cover.
|
12. |
Fit the intake manifold to the mass air flow sensor and turbo.
