Compressor's high pressure pipe (V6 diesel)

To remove


1. Place the car on a lift.

2. Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system. See Draining and filling of refrigerant .

3. Remove the intake manifold from the mass air flow sensor and turbocharger.


4. Remove the engine cover.

5. Disconnect the PAD connection for the high and low pressure pipes from the compressor. Plug the openings.

6. Raise the car.


7. Remove the lower engine cover.

8. Remove the front cover below the radiator unit.

9. Remove the A/C compressor's high pressure pipe from the receiver.


10. Plug the openings.

Important

If the desiccant container has been open for more than 15 minutes in total, it should be changed.


11. Unhook the high pressure pipe from the clip on the subframe.

12. Remove the high pressure pipe.


To fit


1. Adjust the oil level in the compressor. See Filling and adjustment of compressor oil .


2. Guide the high pressure pipe into place.

3. Replace the O-ring and fit the high pressure pipe on the receiver.

Tightening torque: 9 Nm (7 lbf ft)

4. Fit the A/C compressor's high pressure pipe in the clips on the subframe.

5. Put the high pressure pipe's PAD connection in place on the A/C compressor.


6. Fit the front cover below the radiator core.

7. Fit the lower engine cover.

8. Lower the car to the floor.

9. Fit the PAD connection for the high and low pressure pipes on the compressor.


Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 lbf ft)

10. Evacuate the A/C system and fill with R134a refrigerant. See Draining and filling of refrigerant .

11. Fit the engine cover.

12. Fit the intake manifold to the mass air flow sensor and turbo.
