Diesel auxiliary heater RHD, V6

To remove


1. Raise the car.

2. Remove the lower engine cover.


3. Loosen the clamp on the auxiliary heater exhaust pipe and the clamp on the intake pipe.


4. Remove the exhaust pipe and intake pipe from the auxiliary heater.

5. Lower the car.

6. Pinch the front and rear water hose on the auxiliary heater with 30 07 739 Pinch-off pliers.


7. Detach the hoses from the auxiliary heater.

8. Remove the fuel line.

9. Unplug the auxiliary heater connector.

10. Loosen the bolt on the auxiliary heater bracket.

11. Move the bracket forwards and unhook it from the groove together with the circulation pump and move them to one side.

12. Lift out the auxiliary heater from the bracket.


To fit


1. Fit the auxiliary heater in its bracket.

2. Fit the bracket and circulation pump into the groove and tighten the bolt.


3. Plug in the auxiliary heater connector.

4. Fit the fuel line.

5. Fit the rear and front water hoses to the auxiliary heater.

6. Remove the pinch-off pliers.

7. Raise the car.

8. Fit the exhaust pipe and intake pipe to the auxiliary heater.


9. Fit the lower engine cover.


10. Fill with coolant to the max mark on the expansion tank and bleed the system, see Bleeding the cooling system .
