| 1. |
Loosen the expansion tank cap to facilitate draining.

Raise the car and remove the front spoiler shield.
|
|
| 3. |
Place a receptacle under the radiator and drain the coolant.
|
|
| 4. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
|
| 5. |
Remove the upper engine cover.
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the turbo pressure hose from the charge air pipes.
|
|
| 7. |
Remove the upper coolant hose from the thermostat housing and radiator.
|
|
| 8. |
Remove the coolant hoses from the thermostat housing.
|
|
| 9. |
Detach the thermostat housing cover with thermostat.
|
|
| To fit |
| 1. |
Fit the thermostat housing cover with thermostat. Use a new gasket.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft) |

Attach the hoses to the thermostat housing.
|
|
| 3. |
Fit the upper coolant hose to the thermostat housing and radiator.
|
|
| 4. |
Fit the turbo pressure hose to the charge air pipes.
|
|
| 5. |
Replace the upper engine cover.
|
|
| 6. |
Raise the car.
|
|
| 7. |
Close the coolant drain cock and fit the front spoiler shield.
|
|
| 8. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
|
| 9. |
Add coolant to around 20 mm above the mark on the expansion tank, see
Coolant
. Check the system for leaks.
