Symptom: Poor driveability.
Loss of performance.
Turbo position sensor, Low. Performance Problem.
Fault symptom

Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:

Battery voltage should be 10.2-15.8 V.
|

|
Engine speed should be over 1700 rpm.
|

|
Coolant temperature between 59°C - 110°C.
|

|
Requested position for VNT sensor. Lift more than 2% and that 5 consecutive measurements of the VNT position do not differ by more than 3%.
|
-
|
P1636 or P1637 should not be detected.
|
-
|
These conditions should be fulfilled for 2 seconds before diagnostics run.

VNT position is 3.5 mm lower than desired.

Checking the wiring
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short circuits. Observe the multimeter, diagnostic tool or test lamp during the check.
