The induction system comprises the intake manifold, air cleaner, mass air flow sensor and connecting pipes.
The amount of air used by the engine passes through the induction system, where a filter cleans the air from any particles dust.
The air cleaner is situated in front of the right-hand front wheel and consists of a casing (air chamber) in which a cylindrical air filter element is mounted. The filter element is changed from below. A cover is held in place on the casing by means of four bolts.
There is a connector for the mass air flow sensor on the connecting hose. It is secured by means of hose clips.
Intake air is admitted via an air induction pipe positioned in front of the radiator.
The mass air flow sensor continuously measures the amount of air that passes through it. This information is sent to the control module so that the correct amount of fuel is added to the final fuel-air mixture.
The intake air also passes the turbocharger and charge air cooler.
