Crankshaft position sensor (345)

/ 9-5 (9600) / 2005 / 2. Engine / PSG 16 (D223L) / Adjustment/replacement / Crankshaft position sensor (345)

To remove

1.	Remove the upper engine cover.

2.	Unplug the crankshaft position sensor.

3.	Raise the car and remove the lower engine cover.

4.	Remove the crankshaft position sensor.

To fit

1.	Clean the sealing surfaces and fit a new O-ring to the crankshaft position sensor.

2.	Grease the O-ring with acid-free vaseline and fit the crankshaft position sensor. Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft). Route the sensor cable to the connector bracket.

3.	Refit the lower engine cover and lower the car.

4.	Plug in the crankshaft position sensor.

5.	Check that the sensor cable is not close to any hot or sharp objects. If necessary, secure the cable in position.

6.	Fit the upper engine cover.
