Description

Use
AC Relay
Ignition on or control module in delay period
Processor's control of the power amplifier that grounds the circuit.
Checking control module output, electrical circuitry and actuator operation. When the output is active, the electromagnetic clutch should engage. Otherwise, use a test lamp to find the defective lead and/or component.
The refrigerant circuit must also be OK.
Request from ACC/MPC must have come before diagnostics was carried out.
Glow Request
Ignition on or control module in delay period
Processor's control of the power amplifier that activates the glow function in EDC.
Can be used to activate the glow plug control module during fault diagnosis. To see if the glow plug actually works, system voltage is checked in conjunction with activation.
Note
DTC is generated upon request.
Glow Lamp Status
Ignition on or control module in delay period
Processor's decision to light the lamp. The information is used by MIU. Shows ON when the lamp is to be lit.
Can be used to turn the lamp on and off in MIU.
Swirl Control Valve
Ignition on or control module in delay period
Processor's control of the power amplifier that grounds the circuit.
140 Hz
65% PWM = max. active
With the engine at idle, the solenoid valve should control the swirl throttle. If this is not the case, check the vacuum hoses and whether other vacuum-controlled functions can be controlled. If this is not the case, check the function of the vacuum pump.
EGR Control Valve
Ignition on or control module in delay period
Processor's control of the power amplifier that grounds the circuit.
140 Hz
100% PWM = max. active
EGR switched off at 1 minute idling.
Charge Air Control Valve
Ignition on or control module in delay period
Processor's control of the power amplifier that grounds the circuit.
140 Hz
65% PWM = max. active
With the engine at idle, the control valve should control the wastegate rod. If this is not the case, check the vacuum hoses and whether other vacuum-controlled functions can be controlled. If this is not the case, check the function of the vacuum pump.
Idle Speed
Motor running
A temporarily modified desired value for idle speed control. Engine speed can be set between 900 rpm and 1400 rpm.
Can be used to set the engine at the desired engine speed to listen for noise or the like.
