The SID has a time and calendar function with the current time, date, month and year. A digital clock situated in the top left corner is always visible when the SID is on. The month and date are only shown when the Date function is selected.
Setting the clock
The clock is set by means of 2 buttons under the clock. The left button has the (-) function and the right button the (+) function.As well as showing the actual time, the clock is used to calculate the trip computer functions and alarm functions. The 24 or 12 hour display is set using the UNITS function.
The current time is sent out as bus information.
RDS time (certain markets)
The RDS (Radio Data System) is an information system transmitted parallel with regular FM broadcasts. Using RDS time, the clock can be set according to the time signals transmitted by the radio. The code for RDS time is sent over the FM network every minute.Setting RDS time
With the ignition ON, radio on and RDS function selected.Press and hold the two setting buttons under the clock for more than one second. The SID will give acknowledgement with a short acoustic signal.
If RDS time is available on the FM network, the SID display will show:

RDS RE TIME for 3 seconds → current RDS time for 5 seconds and then normal display. The RDS time is stored.

If RDS time is not available on the FM network, the SID display will show:
• |
NO RDS TIME for 3 seconds, then normal display.

Select the “Date” function.

Hold down the SET button for more than 1 second, “year” begins to flash.

Scroll up or down to the desired year using the (-) and (+) buttons.

Press “SET”, the year is stored in the SID unit.

“Month” begins to flash. Select in the same way as point 3.

6. |
Press “SET” to store the “month”.

“Date” begins to flash. Select in the same way as point 3.

Press “SET” to store the “date”.

The year, month and date are stored when SET or CLEAR is pressed, and when the ignition is turned off.
