Electronic reverse gear detent


When changing to R from D, M, 4, 3 or L whilst the vehicle speed exceeds 7 km/h (4.3 mph) the control module energizes solenoid S1 and thus prevents the reverse gear from engaging (brake B3 is disengaged).

The electronic function preventing the engagement of reverse gear is deactivated when the speed of the car is below 7 km/h (4.3 mph) or the selector lever is moved to a position other than R.
