B0081 Passenger Side Airbag Sensor, incorrect Side Airbag Sensor installed.



Fault symptoms

Airbag warning lamp on.

Conditions

Ignition ON

Fault criteria

Upon ignition, the control module will check that the correct side impact sensor is mounted. If the control module detects that a side impact sensor for the driver's side is mounted on the passenger side, a DTC is set.

System reaction to a fault

The control module ignores all signal from the impact sensor as long as the fault is present.
