Roof member, rear 5D

Removing



1. Remove the roof. See Roof 5D.

2. Drill out the spot-welds at the corners.

3. Knock away the roof member and straighten any deformed metalwork.


Fitting



1. Grind all the surfaces that are to be welded.

2. Apply welding primer to the surfaces that are to be welded.

3. Position the roof member and fix it with a few welding clamps.

4. Spot weld the roof member in place.

5. Remove any remaining welding primer. Welding primer reduces adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
