Wheel balancer
Wheel balancer |
General |
The machine is to be fastened to the floor to eliminate vibrations that could affect balancing. A protective screen should be placed over the rotating wheel. A self-centring hub makes mounting easier and should be used. Balancing is facilitated by means of a easy-to-read panel with digital display of imbalance as well as position in both planes simultaneously. Automatic programming of rim width, etc. is not necessary but makes things easier. There should be storage for wheel weights/tools and accessories in the vicinity of the machine. The machine should be supplemented with the option of controlling distortion in the rim and wheel with a permanently mounted indicator. There should be overbalance protection to prevent incorrectly balanced wheels and damage to the machine. In the event of a high degree of usage, a fully automated machine should be used.
