To remove |
1. |
Raise the car and remove the front right wheel.

2. |
Remove the lower engine cover and the drive belt cover.
|
3. |
Relieve tension on the belt tensioner by using a jointed wrench to turn it clockwise. Lock the tensioner with
87 92 335
.
|
4. |
Remove the belt. If the old belt is to be refitted, mark the direction of rotation.
|
5. |
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
|
6. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
7. |
Remove the upper engine cover and insulation.
|
9. |
Cut the cable tie and remove the upper timing cover.
|
10. |
Reset the engine by removing the plug and fitting

11. |
Turn the crankshaft until the tool clicks and locks the exhaust camshaft.
|
12. |
Check that the markings match the illustration.
|
13. |
Remove the bolt from the oil pump and fit
32 025 009 Crankshaft fixing tool
on the crankshaft sprocket.
|
14. |
If it is possible to fit the tool without turning the crankshaft, the timing belt is properly fitted. If not, see Timing belt (in situ).

To fit |
1. |
Remove the tools. Fit the plug in the camshaft housing and the bolts of the oil pump.
|
2. |
Fit the upper timing cover and secure the wiring harness with a new cable tie.
|
3. |
Attach the crankcase ventilation pipe and hose on the camshaft housing.
|
4. |
Fit the insulation and the upper engine cover.
|
5. |
Raise the car.
|
6. |
Fit the crankshaft pulley.
Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 lbf ft)

7. |
Fit the drive belt and remove the lock pin.
|
8. |
Fit the drive belt cover and the lower engine cover.
|
9. |
Mount the fright front wheel and lower the car.
|
