Camshaft position sensor (555)

1.

Remove the upper engine cover and insulation.
|
|
2.
|
Disconnect the crankcase ventilation pipe and raise it slightly. 2 screws and a hose clip.
|
Note
|
|
Cars with preheated crankcase ventilation:
take care not to damage the heating circuit in the hose.
|
|
|
3.
|
Unplug the position sensor connector.
|
Important
|
|
Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins. For further information regarding connectors, refer to

|
4.
|
Remove the position sensor.
|
|
1.
|
Fit the position sensor.
Tightening torque: 9 Nm (7 lbf ft)
|
|
2.
|
Fit the crankcase ventilation pipe.
|
|
3.
|
Plug in the position sensor.
|
Important
|
|
Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to

|
4.
|
Fit the insulation and the upper engine cover.
