Changing the service port

Open the bonnet and cover the wings.
|
2.
|
Detach the power steering fluid reservoir
|
3.
|
Cut the cable tie securing the vent hose.
|
4.
|
Carefully cut a groove in the chafing guard on both sides of the service port but do not cut through completely.
|
5.
|
Fold back and cut off excess chafing guard
|
6.
|
Separate the service port and the line by carefully cutting off the vent line with a sharp knife, scalpel or similar tool.
Note

Cut the line so that as short a piece as possible is used.
|
Note the position of the service port.
|

|
Press the vent line onto the service port with tool 83 94 546.
Note
|
The service port must be pointing in the same direction as before removal.
|
|
2.
|
Secure the hose with a cable tie.
|
3.
|
Fit the power steering fluid reservoir.
|
4.
|
Pressurize the system with the EVAP equipment and check for leaks in the service port installation.
