Symptom: Warning lamp on in MIU.
No headlamp beam adjustment.
Headlamp levelling motor, open circuit or shortage

HIGH TENSION
The headlamp/AHL control module and xenon headlamp ignition transformer generate a voltage in excess of 23 000 V. This voltage can be lethal to individuals with a weak heart or pacemaker. Treat this system with great respect and turn off the ignition before working on the system's components.

Fault symptoms
Warning lamp on in MIU.
No headlamp beam adjustment.
Enable criteria
Xenon lamp on.
Fault criteria
Internal fault in headlamp beam adjustment motor.
System reaction to a fault
The headlamp beam adjustment motor will stop in the position it was in when the fault occurred and it will stay there for as long as the fault persists.
Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short-circuits in the leads. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool during the test.
