TCM in Limp-Home mode.

Conditions

Expected value of output speed exceeds 200 rpm (calculated value from input speed).

Fault criteria

No signal from output shaft speed sensor

System reaction to a fault:

No adaptation.

Diagnostic help

A reading of the output speed can be obtained with the diagnostic instrument.

-	Select " Data Display / Output Control (New)" and " Vehicle Speed (Output RPM)vehicle speed “.

Check the wiring

Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the various leads. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic instrument while carrying out this check.
