"Activate" menu

Note

When a system function is activated with the diagnostics tool, the control module executes a command which is not normal from a functional point of view. In activation mode the diagnostics tool checks the control module and the activation command should therefore be used with discrimination. An activated function will always be reset when you leave the activation mode and continue in the diagnostics tool's menu.

Always clear any diagnostic trouble codes that may have been generated in the transmission system or any other system when you have finished your work.

Important

Activation mode can only be entered in selector lever position N. In other selector lever positions the diagnostics tool's display will show SHIFT TO N AND THEN PRESS ENTER. All activation commands can be cancelled by pressing Exit.

Description

Usage

Solenoid S1

Ignition ON

The control module is energising solenoid S1

If in working order the solenoid will click. A stethoscope should be used.

Solenoid S1

requested status

Ignition ON

ON/OFF

Energizes the solenoid by feeding B+ to the relevant pin. The vehicle speed must be 0 km/h and the selector lever in position P or N.

Solenoid S2

Ignition ON

The control module is energising solenoid S2

If in working order the solenoid will click. A stethoscope should be used.
