Measure the quality of the brake fluid using 89 96 985 Brake fluid tester in accordance with the equipment's instructions.

It is important that the gauge's opening is under the surface of the fluid. |

If the fluid level is too low to be measured in the reservoir then a pipette and measuring glass must be used.
If the boiling point is below 190 °C then the brake fluid must be changed .

The lowest permitted boiling point for DOT 4 fluid is 155 °C. In order that the boiling point should not fall below this level before the next service the fluid needs to be changed if the boiling point is below 190 °C. |

Top up with brake fluid if necessary. |

Never use brake fluid from an open container. |
