Fault symptoms

ESP OFF lamp on.

No ESP function.

Conditions

ESP receives bus information from the ECM about the current gear position. If the ECM sends a message specifying that this information is faulty, a DTC is generated.

Diagnostic help

This DTC indicates a fault in the ECM. Refer to fault diagnosis for the engine control module in question.
