1. |
Raise the car.

2. |
Remove the lower engine cover.
|
3. |
Remove the right cover.
|
4. |
Relieve the load on the belt tensioner and block with
8792335 Lock pin
.
|
5. |
Lift the poly-V belt from the belt pulley of the power steering pump and A/C compressor.
|
6. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
7. |
Remove the hose of the turbocharger intake manifold.
|
8. |
Clamp the return hose and supply hose with
30 07 739 Hose pinch-off pliers
.
|
9. |
Detach the supply hose from the power steering pump.
|
10. |
Remove the delivery hose from the power steering pump using
32 025 061 Crow foot spanner
.
|
11. |
Remove the pump bolts.
|
12. |
Remove the pump.
|
To fit |
1. |
Fit the pump. Tighten the bolts behind the belt pulley first.
Tightening torque 24 Nm (18 lbf ft) |
2. |
Fit the bolt on the back of the pump.
Tightening torque 24 Nm (18 lbf ft) |
3. |
Fit the delivery hose using a new O-ring.
Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 lbf ft) |
4. |
Fit the supply hose.

5. |
Remove the pinch-off pliers.
|
6. |
Fit the hose of the turbocharger intake manifold.
|
7. |
Raise the car.
|
8. |
Wipe any spilled oil from the subframe.
|
9. |
Fit the multigroove V-belt.
|
10. |
Fit the right cover.
|
11. |
Fit the lower engine cover.
|
12. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
13. |
Fill with power steering fluid to specification and
bleed the system
.
